Prevolution Communications provided SKOTTI grill with a Marketing campaign and Press & Public Relations, selecting relevant media outlets, pitching their story and securing news coverage.
Partnership
SKOTTI launched in Germany in 2019 during the COVID pandemic. It is the first multi-functional mobile gas barbecue to win a Red Dot Design Award.
Requirement
The question to Prevolution Communications was to introduce SKOTTI in the Netherlands during the BBQ season in the months May, June and July 2021 and 2022.
Approach
The choice; using traditional PR tactics to raise brand awareness with print and digital media coverage. In the research phase appropriate media outlets were selected starting with the Food and Camping segments. Additionally the categories Lifestyle, Men and Fishing were included and we pitched the SKOTTI story to journalists and bloggers. The marketing campaign consisted of a barter and paid media campaign with radio station Sublime.
Achievement
The earned media value was €35k and increased the visibility and reach of the product significantly. The paid media campaign was a 2 week promotion and consisted of radio commercials, promotion during radioshows, a microsite on Sublime.nl and 15 grills were made available for the listeners to win.
